Taylor's Head Provincial Park is a must see if you are coming to Nova Scotia and love beaches.  It is a further drive down the road, but once you get there and experience the white sands, beautiful small dunes and hiking trails, you will be sure not to get into the freezing water! Of course that depends on the season, but take a sweater just in case.
